Mr. Sean McGinty
Principal
Mr. Sean McGinty is the Principal of Joseph P. Liberati Intermediate School. Prior to being named as the Principal, he served as the building’s Assistant Principal since the opening of the Intermediate School in 2009. Before joining Southern Lehigh School District, he worked as a Chemistry and Physical Science teacher at Bucks County Technical High School, and in The School District of Lancaster. Mr. McGinty’s undergraduate work was as a dual major at Albright College where he earned his first degree in Chemistry and Education. His first graduate work was done at the University of Pennsylvania where he earned a masters degree in Chemistry Education. He then attended Wilkes University earning a Masters in Education and K-12 Principal’s Certificate.
Mrs. Holly DeNofa
Assistant Principal
Mrs. Holly DeNofa is the Assistant Principal of Joseph P. Liberati Intermediate School. Mrs. DeNofa is a graduate of King's College, where she earned a BA in Spanish. She earned a MEd degree in Educational Development and Strategies and an MEd degree in Education Leadership, with K-12 PA Principal's Certification. Prior to joining the administrative team in Southern Lehigh, Mrs. DeNofa was a Spanish teacher in the Allentown School District and then Pleasant Valley High School, where she became an assistant principal. She then worked as an assistant principal in the Bethlehem Area School District for 11 years before becoming the principal of Bethlehem Catholic High School. Although she has only been in the Southern Lehigh School District since the Fall of 2022, Mrs. DeNofa is excited to be a new Spartan!
Mrs. Rebecca Kabala
Assistant Principal
Mrs. Becky Kabala is an Assistant Principal at Joseph P. Liberati Intermediate School. Becky completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, K-6 Elementary Certification, K-12 Principal Certification, and Master of Education in Educational Leadership. Prior to joining the Southern Lehigh School District, Becky worked in the State College Area School District, Upper St. Clair School District, Avonworth School District, and Springdale School District (AR). Throughout her career, Becky has taught students in kindergarten through sixth grade, served as an ELA Curriculum Leader, and earned her ESL endorsement and National Board Certification. Most recently, Becky was a Dean of Students in the State College Area School District. Becky is excited to join the JPLIS community!
